The Galena Lions Charities a (501c) (3) organization, welcomes cyclists to this year’s 4th Annual bicycling tour, the “Ride To See” a Bicycle Tour of Kent County MD.TM. The tour consists of four routes between 15 and 100 miles in length. The routes take in the scenery of the heartland of Kent County, Maryland, historic towns, and great country stores. The 100 mile route offers scenic views of the Chesapeake Bay, historic homes, antique and gift shops and picturesque countryside. One hundred percent of our proceeds go to benefit our friends and neighbors with sight issues through our donations to such worthy organizations as the Leader Dog Foundation, the Wilmer Eye Foundation (through the International Lions Foundation), Pre-School Screening for “Lazy Eye” as well as other local educational and elderly causes.

Fenwick Island Elections

FENWICK ISLAND — Voters in Fenwick Island get a day off Saturday.

Since there were only three persons who had filed for the three openings on the town council he town Board of Elections canceled the scheduled annual municipal election.

Incumbents Gardner Bunting, Diane Tingle and Bill Weistling are declared re-elected to two-year terms on the council.

The MOMS Club of Rehoboth Beach Area, DE® will be hosting a
Touch-A-Truck event to benefit the March of Dimes on Saturday, August
23 from 10 am to 2 pm.  The event will be held at the Big K (Kmart)
parking lot in Rehoboth Beach rain or shine.  Kids of all ages will
love to visit the trucks set up for their exploration, such as a fire
engine, dump truck, crane, ice cream truck, police vehicle, tractor,
and so many more.  Admission will be $5 for ages 2-12; everyone else is
free.  Children will not be admitted without a responsible adult.
Touch-A-Truck will also feature mini-train rides, face painting,
raffles, and refreshments.  Free goody bags will be given to the first
500 children to arrive.

The MOMS Club is a non-profit organization which supports all at-home
